Thanks to some helpful parents, Serious Games Testers Club has a new meeting time. Starting September 15 at 11:00 AM, SGTC will begin meeting every Saturday, for one hour. The agenda will be the same. We’ll review the latest games, pass out some swag, and see what’s new.
Mediatech members — please note that we’ll open earlier, as follows:
12 Noon to 7 PM August 30 and 31 (Thursday and Friday)
Closed Monday for Labor Day (Sept 3rd)
Open at noon on Tuesday Sept. 4th
Regular school hours resume Wednesday, Sept 5 (3 to 7 PM each day), noon to 5 on Saturday.
To all that attended the fundraiser: thanks for coming, meeting Gigi and his family and helping to raise much needed funds for Mediatech’s operation.
I’d also like to especially thank Charlie Huck and his trio for accommodating a few extra musicians, and Mayor Hauck’s wonderful, heartwarming presentation to Gigi.
Hello game testers. For this week’s club, I’m pleased to be back, with my E3 footage. You’ll have a chance to see the new Wii Fit peripheral, plus a variety of new games that are pushing the technology to a new level. Looking forward to seeing you on Friday afternoon (from 1 to 3 PM). Anyone is welcome.
Dear Mediatech members, supervisors and board members; as well as the Flemington community at large. I’m off to Traverse City, Michigan to teach year two of a MA program for my alumni, Michigan State University. I’ll be back in Flemington on the last week of July. Mediatech will be in the able hands of Adam Neboa, one of our first supervisors. Adam is a student at Hunter College in NYC, and knows a lot of about sports and radio broadcasting.
Adam, with the help of CTR editors Bobbie and Tracy, will be running the Serious Game Testers Club on Fridays from 1 to 3 PM. Anyone with an interest in the latest games and game design is welcome to attend.
So what’s the exiting news? On Monday Night, August 13, Gigi Tagliapetra will be visiting Flemington. Gigi is the founder of the original Mediateca in Italy; and the board of trustees will be hosting a dinner party in his honor. Stay tuned. In the meantime, have a wonderful summer! WB
