Mediatech’s high definition paid for from holiday concert donations.
Flemington, NJ December 22, 2012. Â When the concert attendees of the December 11 holiday courthouse concert were asked to drop a small donation into a hat, many were probably unaware that they were giving a gift directly to themselves.
The sum of $385 was just enough to purchase a 39 inch HD screen, which represents the achievement of an important technological goal for Mediatech. “This is very our first HD screen,” said Warren Buckleitner, Mediatech’s founder. “Up until now, we’ve been using large, donated color TVs, of the variety you see being picked up for recycling these days. By 1990 standards, these displays aren’t bad, but  they don’t work well with the latest high definition game systems.” This screen will be paired with a new Wii U game system to be used to test the latest games, throughout 2013.
The new screen and Wii U was unveiled last Friday during a meeting of the Serious Games Testers Club; a group of youth who meets each week to try the latest games. The screen will be available all year in Mediatech, located in the 2nd floor of the Flemington Free Public Library, 118 Main Street in Flemington.
